ButterBurr's restaurant was established in 1981 in Pocatello Idaho by Kelly and Sheryl Talbot. Kelly passed away during the summer of 2020, but his love, knowledge, and hard work in the business will never be forgotten. 

Sheryl has since retired from her hard work and love of the restaurant business but will always be devoted to the success of the restaurant. Sheryl often enjoys eating and supporting their daughter with her family and friends. Their daughter is now running the business with the knowledge her dedicated parents taught her and the amazing employees the restaurant has. 

After 43 years of renting a building, it was time to move and purchase one with more options to serve the community. In January 2023 ButterBurr’s was relocated to the iconic castle building on Cedar. The building correlates with the ButterBurr’s theme of Barliman ButterBurr which is ironic.

Included in this change, we have outdoor seating so that patrons can enjoy the warm summer weather. The building has more options for seating, larger tables, and a banquet room. The banquet room can be booked for reservations, meetings, and special parties. A liquor license was purchased and added to the menu. And when you come into the restaurant you will still feel the warmth of the amazing employees and the family feeling the Talbots always had, and the incredible home style, and homemade food.

What was once a small-town restaurant with very humble beginnings has now, thanks to all of you who supported and patronized us over the years, become a booming business and a second-generation family legacy! We are proud to be a huge part of this incredible community we love.
